Foreign Beggars has been going hard for years now and their new EP The Harder They Come proves that they are as good as ever. Their mix of grime, dubstep and hip-hop is second to none. These guys from London really know how to capture an audience and hold the club down. When people are getting down at clubs, they want to party to rap or hardcore electronic beats; well Foreign Beggars combines both of these so effectively in this EP.
I am in love with this EP so much, the fresh beats have me hooked and the lyrics in all the tunes are so ill. The first track, Still Getting It, focuses on the group’s distinguished career with the lyrics “10 years deep and the same, still getting it” and “Best you raise up your game” proves that they still have that fire to create more sick tunes. This song even features Skrillex, need I say more? I think my favorite beat though may be from the third track, What’s Good. This song beats hard and features all the bass and percussion patterns we expect from Foreign Beggars and a grimy dubstep track.
The final track, Contact, is a great ending to the EP. The opening snippets sound like they sampled the power up from Super Mario and it’s got those occasional hip-hop vocals that we all love. The EP came out yesterday, get it!
Another sick track from the EP, LDN, featuring Alix Perez; listen to the lyrics, they rap so hard over this track!
