Set It Off is an amazing unsigned band out of Tampa, Florida that has been making waves and gaining more and more exposure across the country. Yesterday, June 14 they dropped their highly anticipated third EP, "Horrible Kids". The album kicks off with a great opener entitled Breathe In, Breathe Out. The intro is extremely original and allows the listener to enter Set It Off's newly created genera of orchestral pop. Lead singer Cody Carson's vocals are unlike anyone elses in the game today and that is exemplified in this song. Overall great opening track. Breathe In, Breathe Out then leads into the bands second single off the EP End in Tragedy. Arguments Is Now- Ashley's Song comes next. The guitars incorporated throughout the song add a jazzy feel to certain parts of the song. Overall awsome song. Next comes my personal favorite on the EP @Replay. This was the first single on the album and for good reasons, it is the best song on the album. Cody sounds redic and the intro is what hooks the listener into this filthy song. And the instrumentals during the prechorus are just so unusual and unlike anything that is currently being created by anyone in the game today. Next up is the title track Horrible Kids which is a very solid track that is my second favorite on the album the lyrics are extremely catchy especially the chorus. Great and solid title track. I Think it's Arrogance is next which again is a great track which an extremely unusual and dope as fuck breakdown. Third Wheel is the second to last track on the album and for good reasons it has a classic rock type intro until the sax comes in makes the intro more interesting and catchy. Cody adds a soul vie in the way he sounds and the track is then enhanced by a filthy horn solo leading into a short guitar solo , its a fantastic song and leads well into the last song Missing You. The final track Missing You is a great ballad to end the EP, the lyrics are extremely mature and that growth in the bands writing can be seen through this song. Overall go check this band they are one of my personal favorites and they deserve all the exposure they receive.
